The capital city of the Republic of Korea, has been the center of the country throughout its long history from the prehistoric era to the present day.
Diamond Beach on Nusa Penida island is to the public. The stairway only takes a few minutes to reach the bottom. With a long stretch of white sand, palm trees, rock pools and glistening turquoise sea, Diamond Beach is the epitome of paradise, and I feel privileged to have been one of the first people to enjoy its untouched beauty.
Visiting Diamond Beach.
Visiting the viewpoint and the beach would take a total time of 1.5 to 2-hours. The walk down is doable and by far not as difficult as Kelingking Beach.
Diamond Beach is quite easy to reach by car or motorbike during a Nusa Penida Trip. However, due to the fast driving cars and narrow roads, we don’t recommend driving a motorbike on Nusa Penida.
Swimming in Diamond Beach.
Unfortunately, Diamond Beach is not made for swimming. Every wave contains a lot of coral and rocks which makes it quite painful. If you are fast enough and go in between the waves you can have a good cool down in the sea. Just be very careful with the current. It is a new, unknown spot and there is no help down here.
Nowadays, the stairs to reach the beach already finished, so we can find the beach easier than before. It is advised to only visit Diamond Beach during low tide. The sea on this side is very rough and can easily be dangerous. You can reach the beach by walk over and around the rocks.
